Geer Gas Newark
The origin of our oldest branch location dates to the 1920’s. All because of the vision of Sid Hollister.
He owned multiple businesses, one being welding supplies, and another a weld shop. After his passing in 1948, his widow split the businesses amongst those who worked in them.
Enter Edwin Wince, he worked in the welding supplies store and eventually started “Wince Welding Supply.”
After the Korean War, Ken Yost joins the business and marries Ed’s daughter. Fast forward 20 years to 1968, Ken Yost purchases Wince Welding Supplies and his son, Keith Yost, starts into the family business 10 years later.
Keith has been the familiar face, knowledge, and staple of the welding industry in Newark.
In 2015 Geer Gas Corporation acquired Wince Welding Supply, with keeping Keith Yost as a focal point.
Together, the two have grown the Newark market area, and continued to provide the fast, friendly, reliable service, that has been around for over 100 years!
